ANOTHER SITUATION

They're talking about Europa, a moon of Jupiter. 彼らは木星の月のひとつ、エウロパのことを話している。

I've come up with a brilliant plan.
What's that, dear?
Let's buy a rocket and go to Jupiter and live on Europa. Gator made me a good offer.
You know as well as I do that we can't dig into our savings.
It'd be a great investment.
How so?
We wouldn't have to pay for expensive inter planetary fares and space hotels.
What about fuel?
You know as well as I do that we can make fuel from space garbage.
It sounds nice but it's not a workable plan.
You know something?
No. What?
They get ラジ英 on Europa.
We're going!

K: Oh they can get ラジ英.
KA: Actually I've come up with a brilliant plan.
J: Yes?
KA: Let's broadcast from Europa.
K: Sounds nice but is it a workable plan?
KA: I don't know.
J: Maybe not.
K: Well, that's about it for today, so until next time
J: Keep listening
KA: Keep practicing
K: And keep on smiling
All: Bye.

K: 皆さんお元気ですか?私たちも元気です。特に遠山は元気になりました。
KA&J: Yay!
K: Thank you.
KA: Welcome back.
K: Thank you.
KA: So Ken. You were going to tell us about the hospital.
J: That's right.
K: Oh yes. What was the question?
KA: Well, we thought maybe you were sick and tired of being in the hospital.
J: Right.
K: No no no. They really treated me well. And they were very nice, every one of them. It wasn't bad at all.
KA: That's good to hear.
K: I really thank them for their hospitality.
KA: Hospital-ity...
K: I'm back.
KA: You're back.
J: You certainly are, 100 percent.

ANOTHER SITUATION

They seem to laugh at anything.
二人はどんなことにも笑うようである。

Is that you, Gator?
It's me. Harvey?
Yeah. How's it going over in Tucson?
I'm actually thinking of retiring.
Are you serious?
Yup. And I'll give you an offer you can't refuse.
What's that, your old job?
Even better. I was wondering if you'd like to buy the RV that you rented last summer.
Oh man! Let me tell you that's one cool RV. How much are you asking?
10 million dollars.
You gotta be kidding.
Yes, I am.

K: Well, it must be good for him.
KA: I have to say 10 million dollars shocked me.
K: Well, that's about it for today.
KA: Are you serious?
K: Yes. Time just flies by.
J: Wow.
K: Well, I'll give them an offer they can't refuse here.
J: Okay.
K: Until next time
J: Keep listening
KA: Keep practicing
K: And keep on smiling
All: Bye.

K: 皆さんお元気ですか?遠山も元気になりました。お待たせしました。
KA: Oh Ken.
K: Yes.
KA: Wow.
J: Welcome back.
K: Thank you.
KA: We hear you were in the hospital.
K: Yes, I was. I learned a few things there, yes.
J: Like what?
K: Well, when you are in the hospital, you have to be patient. I think I'm back.
KA: I think you're back.
J: I think so too.
K: Okay.
KA: Welcome back.
K: Thank you.

ANOTHER SITUATION
They switch roles.
二人は役を交換する。

It's starting to snow again.
It's never ending. I'm sick and tired of shoveling snow.
You've got cabin fever.
That's putting it lightly. In fact I've been looking into popular snowbird destinations.
You have?
Uh huh. How about living a warmer climate during the winter?
We'd never be able to afford that kind of lifestyle.
Never say never.
You sound like a British secret agent.
Call me Shirly Bond.

KA: Well, Ken. It's great to have you back again.
K: Thank you, Katie.
J: I bet you were sick and tired of being in the hospital.
K: Well, it was not that bad. I'll answer that question tomorrow with a little bit of humor.
J: Oh okay.
K: So you can look forward to it.
KA: I can't wait.
K: Yeah.
J: But it wasn't the same without you.
KA: Yeah.
K: Oh thank you. Well, that's about it for today. So until next time
J: Keep listening
KA: Keep practicing
K: And keep on smiling.
All: Bye.

NEW SITUATION

Claire is furious with John.
クレアはジョンのことをカンカンに怒っている。

I'd like to apologize about yesterday.
You gave me the Valentine messages and flowers?
I did.
What happened to you yesterday? You stood me up!
I got called on an emergency. I'd like to make it up to you.
Okay. But this is your last chance.
What do you say we go out for dinner tonight?
Is this your idea of making it up to me?
Yes. It's nothing too spectacular or anything but what do you say, Claire?
I say why not.
Super! By the way, this is Tricks.
Pookie!
This is Pookie.
Roses are red.
Violets are blue.
Sugar is sweet.
And so are you!
And me too!
Yes.

K: Well, talking dog.
KA: Talking dog.
J: Love that part about the show. By the way, I'd like to apologize for all the mistakes I've made and I'd like to make it up to you sometime.
KA: I haven't noticed anything.
K: Steak dinner would be fine.
KA: Oh okay.

J: Well, it's time to say goodbye.
KA: So see you next time.
KA&J: Bye!

NEW SITUATION

Both of them start crying.
2人は共に泣き始める。

Well?
I got stood up.
You've got to be kidding!
I think someone pulled a prank on me.
I don't think that's the case.
Well, I feel like a fool. I'm going to rip up these stupid messages.
I know how you feel. But there has to be a good explanation for this.
I don't care anymore. Roses are dead. Violets are black. I'm heartbroken. I want him back.
I know how you feel. It'll be okay.

J: That was a very sad new situation.
KA: Yes, yeah.
K: Sure it was.
KA: I agree. She doesn't care anymore.
K: Well, on a lighter note, you remember we asked Joe to do something for us.
KA: For a full report. Yes.
K: Yeah. We wanted a full report on how you felt about this program, how you feel about this program.
J: I'm really having fun.
KA: Oh good.
J: Having a great time. I can see why Jeff loves it so much.
KA: Oh nice.
K: Well, I have never asked Jeff about his childhood. What was he like?
KA: Good question.
J: He was very shy. But he once in a while he would pull a prank on people.
KA: You've got to be kidding!
K: He's a good singer and he plays a guitar well. When did he start all that?
J: When he was 9 years old he started taking guitar lessons.
KA: Wow very young.
K: Next time we'd like to ask you about yourself.
J: About me? All right. Another full report.
KA: Yes.
K: Great.

J: I remember playing the guitar with my friends when I was just 9 years old.
KA: I did that too.
J: Really?
KA: My, my, time flies.
J: Yes it does. And our time has flown. We must say goodbye for now.
KA: So until next time.
KA&J: Bye.
